Information for Newcomers

The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to researching and recreating the Middle Ages in the present. All of our events and activities are open to members and non-members alike.

Our members have a wide variety of interests, from spinning; weaving; kniting; dyeing and sewing, to cooking; singing; writing; acting and dancing, to archery; sword fighting and rapier fighting.  And many more.

This event, called Practicum, is an annual affair. The event is a day of classes with a potluck in the evening.

For more information about the SCA in general, please visit the SCA's introduction page,
