• Edit, and combine the canton pursuivant reports into a single baronial pursuivant report, 4 times per year to be submitted to the trillium herald. Reports in theory will be a summary of all heraldic activities in the canton, ongoing name and device submissions, and awards received by canton members. In practice, depending on how much activity has been occurring, the reports are frequently extremely brief.

• When needed, encourage the canton pursuivant to submit their reports, and try and generally encourage their active participation in the process. In the event a canton is missing a pursuivant, the baronial pursuivant should try and collect the necessary data directly as best they can (perhaps in communication with the group seneschal)
  
  
• Once per year, as part of the domesday report, submit an updated baronial order of precedence. This should largely be done as a summary of the canton pursuivants effort to do the same for their canton.
  
  
• Handle the submission process for any baronial level awards, and the registration of the name and device of the award.

In addition, like any pursuivant, including those not filling a specific position for a group, being available for general consultation, conflict checking, court heraldry, etc... is always encouraged, but not strictly speaking part of the job.

Why become a Chronicler? Do you love to read? Do you enjoy writing? Both are good qualities in a chronicler. But You don't have to do all the writing.

Aside from the basic requirement of being a member in good standing of the SCA Inc., what else do you need?

• Experience with writing or editing
• Printing or publishing experience
• Balance and judgment in matters political
• A working telephone
• Regular contact with Baronial activities
• Access to email and the internet
• Ability to meet the ongoing requirements of the

Baronial Chronicler position, primarily, but not limited to:

• 4-6 issues for the year
• Quarterly financial reporting to the Baronial Exchequer
• Domesday report to Kingdom Chronicler
• Domesday report to Baronial Exchequer

The above two reports are different reports
