REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
Baronial Champions represent the finest the Barony has to offer. Champions are charged to defend the honour of the Baron and Baroness, Skraeling Althing and its populace, the Kingdom of Ealdormere, whenever called upon to do so. During their tenure, champions are granted the right to wear and use the regalia of the position, be counted among Their Excellencies entourage and stand with them in Baronial Courts. This title is held for one year, and Championship Tournaments are held annually.
As champion, you will be expected to organize and run the championship to choose your successor. We also request that Our A&S Champion serve their community by organizing A&S activities or teaching.
To encourage a breadth of knowledge in Their Champion, Their Excellencies wish participants to submit two entries. The day will only host only the competition for the A&S Champion and not individual entries. These entries are encouraged to be from varying arts, and will be scored in respect to breadth as well as skill level. Entries should be items finished in the past two years that have not been entered in a previous Baronial A&S Tourney (things that have been entered in QPT or Kingdom A&S are valid for entry here).
The Champion must be a resident of the barony. Out-of-barony entrants are welcome to participate and compete for prizes; however the title of Champion will go to a member of the barony.
In order to find judges knowledgeable in the subject area of the entries, competitors will be required to pre-register their entries.
Documentation for entries must be provided to the tourney organizer by April 26. This will give time for the judges to read through the provided documentation.
Each entrant should be prepared to discuss their work and answer questions from the judges. Following the presentation the entrants will be excused and the panel of judges will score the entries. The panel will present their scores to the Baron and Baroness, but the final selection of the winner is at the discretion of their Excellencies.
Because of the discussion/Q&A portion of the judging, scored entries must be accompanied by their artisan.
