The Canton of Caldrithig presents
Welcome to Practicum – a day of medieval classes!, followed by court, a feast, and ball!
Our theme this year is “Everyone Can SCA” and we are approaching this theme from two intertwining perspectives:
First, we are offering many classes where you can Just Try It: Just Try It classes are the perfect opportunity to try out something new (whether as a newcomer to the SCA or just to the activity in question) and come away with a small but tangible accomplishment by the end of the class.
Second, it is our pleasure to host a special guest from An Tir, Lady Maude Louisiana d’Orleans, who will be attending to discuss their experiences in putting together the An Tir Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) committee, as well as teaching one of our Just Try It classes “Introduction to Research Methods: Anyone Can Research”.
Lunch is will be available for sale on site, and feast reservations can be made by contacting the gatekeeper.
We will also have room for off-boarding.
An attempt at pre 16th century garb required for the evening activities and encouraged but not mandatory for the day. Please contact the Chatelaine for loaner garb.
