Greetings unto the scholarly populace of Skraeling Althing from Baron and Baroness Shahid and Catherine.
It was amazing to see such fantastic numbers at Practicum. We had 105 adults in attendance, and several children. We are pleased to see an interest in such pursuits as the study of the Middle Ages is one of the core principles of Our Society. Thank you to the event staff, teachers, students, and others that came out to make this a fantastic event.
We are always inspired by the people of this Barony. It was Our joy to witness so many of you receive recognition from the hands of Her Royal Majesty. We wish to congratulate Lady Jeanne Aganetha Marie on her Award of the Maiden’s Heart, and Lord John Moran and Lord Michel de Maine on their Awards of the Orion. We would also especially like to congratulate Lady Gwendolyn of Aldberg on her entrance onto the Scroll of Honour, and the recognition of the Queen’s Favour. These awards are well deserved and We are proud of each and every one of you!
We also had the pleasure of personally welcoming Dana of Caldrithig to the Barony with a Bunny Tail.
A meeting of the baronial council was held and We would like to welcome the new council members. Mistress AElfwyn et Langanwuda has volunteered to be Our Baronial Marshal. Baroness Lucia de Enzinas will continue in her position as Chronicler. The Honourable Lady Eluned verch Angor has taken up the mantle of Our Baronial Seneschal. Lord Lord Dafydd ap Alan has stepped in as Our Minister of Arts & Sciences. We look forward to working with you in your new roles.
