Greetings unto the most noble populace of Skraeling Althing from Baron Shahid and Baroness Catherine.
Summer is the busiest time of year for those of us in the SCA. Between preparing for camping events, cleaning up after camping events, and actually attending the events, there isn’t much time left to do anything else.
On top of all this, every Summer the Barony takes part in two big demos. These demos are a huge amount of work at an already busy time, however they also bring in significant honorariums that are the Barony’s only real source of income. So much, in fact that it is enough to cover most if not all of the yearly operating costs of the Barony.
We would like to offer particular words of thanks to those that participated this year. Your service to the Barony is greatly appreciated.
