Greetings unto the most noble populace of Skraeling Althing from Baron Shahid and Baroness Catherine.
The first melee event of the year was a great success. Though the rain may have dampened our tents, it could not dampen our spirits. Skraeling Althing fielded six ferocious armoured combatants, and allied with Septentria, went forth to fight valiantly and honourably, ultimately winning two fights and loosing three.I look forward to next year where we will stand strong again and field another ferocious team.
We would like to especially thank Lady Yvette de Sancler, Christof Jaus, and Megan of Caldrithig for their assistance with the Baronial pavilion.

We’ve had a very positive response so far to the Great Baronial Bead Challenge. We will have printed booklets available at Trillium War, or you can print one yourself. We hope many of you will take up Our challenge. It has been wonderful to hand out beads to deserving gentles, and We look forward to more.
And now We have another challenge for you all as well. We have accepted the Great Bacon Melee Challenge from Lord Yamamoto Morikazu of Clan Okami. What does this mean? It means the Barony will attempt to field as many new armoured combatants on the field at next years Murder Melee, fully kitted out in their own armour and authorized. For every new fighter more that we can provide than they do, they will pay the Barony one pound of bacon, at a to be determined later date. And on that note, We cordially invite the Barony to a Baronial Bacon Fry-Up at this later date. Come enjoy the spoils of war! Of course, We will need everyone’s assistance in this endeavor to recruit, kit up, and train Our new army. Otherwise the Baronial Bacon Fry-Up will be a very sad event, as there will be no bacon.
