What is a moot?
A moot is an open forum for the populace to discuss any matter of importance to the people.
From the Laws of the Kingdom of Ealdormere (XIV-204):
Any subject of the Kingdom of Ealdormere may speak at a moot, without fear of recrimination, on any matter of concern to the Kingdom, provided they show common courtesy.
This also applies to Baronial moots, however we request the topics be kept to Baronial matters rather than Kingdom ones.
Topics may be raised in advance to the chair (for Baronial moots, this us usually the Baronial Seneschal, or the Canton Seneschal if the Baronial Seneschal is unavailable). Topics may also be raised anonymously by contacting the chair, who will raise the topic on your behalf.
In Service,
Shahid and Catherine
Baron and Baroness of Skraeling Althing
