Letter to the Barony; Summer Siege, Trillium War

Greetings unto the most noble populace of Skraeling Althing from Baron Shahid and Baroness Catherine.

It was wonderful to see many of you at Summer Siege in Our Canton of Harrowgate Heath. The weather was wonderful and there were many things see and do. There, it was Our joy to witness so many of you receive recognition from the hands of Their Royal Majesties. We wish to congratulate The Honourable Lady Marie L’Englois on her induction into the Order of the Crucible, Lord Gottfried von Hengstberg, Lady Laili, and Lord Magnus Strykwind on receiving their Awards of Arms, and Mateo of Skraeling Althing on receiving his Wolf’s Cub. Well deserved honours!

During Our afternoon court We were pleased to award the following:

  • Lady Catherine Rose Lamont: Order of the Black Hare
  • Lord Gavin MacAiden: Order of the Hare Valiant
  • Jonass of Caldrithig: Bunny Tail
  • Nikki of Harrowgate Heath: Bunny Tail
  • Patty O’Connor: Bunny Tail
  • Shelagh of Caldrithig: Bunny Tail
  • Yannick and Sharlene of Harrowgate Heath: Bunny Tails
  • Lord Geoffrey the Pretty: Baronial Archery Champion

We would also like to congratulate The Honourable Lord Varakii Varenko Vikovitch on being named King’s Champion.

The next week, We went to War. Accompanied by a large contingent of Skraels, We had a wonderful time at War of the Trillium. There was so much going on that We were unable to see and do everything that we liked, but wherever We went we saw Our people fighting in honourable combat, teaching and learning new skills, and enjoying each other’s company.

Their Majesties truly outdid themselves with a court of Epic proportions. Our most heartfelt congratulations to The Honourable Lord Varakii Varenko Vikovitch on being placed on vigil for the Order of Chivalry, a truly well deserved honour.

Further congratulations to Dame Helen of Greyfells on being named a Baroness of the Court. Another truly well deserved recognition.

We also wish to congratulate Baron Shahid on being admitted into the Order of Thorbjorn’s Hammer, The Honourable Lady Eluned verch Angor on an Award of the Maiden’s Heart, and Lords Dafydd ap Alan and James Edgarson on their Awards of the Scarlet Banner. Waes hail!

We always love hearing about the good things people are doing in this Barony. We would encourage anyone who feels a gentle is deserving of an award, either Kingdom or Baronial, to please write them in. Skraeling Althing has an online form here, and the Ealdormere form is here.

In Service,
Shahid and Catherine
Baron and Baoness of Skraeling Althing
